Welding is a well-needed art. Yet, in the past 70 years, innovation in the field has become stagnant. Today, many welders perform their dangerous practice with equipment that barely protects them. Being such a dangerous art, welders must have a protective helmet. The helmet is a very unwieldy object that is difficult to fit in tight spaces. It is difficult to see what you have done while welding due to the auto darkening lens; so, welders must take off their helmets to see what they have done and in the process waste time while possibly exposing themselves to spatter. Using 3-D Printed High-Temperature plastic,  we plan on creating an innovative welding that adds lighting and that fits easier on the face. The light would be powered by a solar panel which would absorb the UV rays created when welding. The light would allow the user to see what they have done after welding a piece of pipe. The solar panel also allows the user to leave the helmet in any lighting and allow to charge the LEDs.
