A talk with Coach Hollway and Mrs.Knowles

Jacob Foster

Today at approximately 2:15 we talked to Mrs.Knowles about our project and materials. After brainstorming for a little bit we decided that instead of clear plexiglass for our top layer we are going to get fogged plexiglass so the lights won't be so direct to the eyes of the player and won't be as much of a distraction. We also talked with Coach Hollway and he raised the question that what if the lights and plexiglass surface isn't approved by the FHSAA. So, we and Coach Hollway decided to call Justin Harrison but the call got directed to his assistant, Colette Walinski and she suggested that we contact Frank Beasley who is the director of basketball. As we are calling him his voicemail comes up. So now we are waiting for him to give Coach a callback and then we will talk to Frank Beasley then.

Idea

Jacob Foster

Clayton and I were on the basketball court yesterday and were getting confused with the basketball lines and volleyball lines. With this we came up with an idea that made the basketball court completely "lineless". The way we are going to do this is by the court having 2 layers. The bottom layer would be wood and on top of that would eb LED lights that go with every sport that is played for the school. The top layer would be a material that the ball would respond with and a material that the lights would be able to be shown. We would create a software with the different sport lines programmed.
