J1 - Animal Superpower Circus

Introduction: Animal Superpower Wearables!

Joselyn McDonald

Imagine a world in which the circus was run by animals! Any kind of animal could participate and the show featured the (often) hidden superpowers of animals! For instance, did you know that ants can carry up to 100 times their body weight, and bears sleep for months at a time!

Students will have the opportunity to learn about a range of animal "superpowers". They will leverage these learnings to develop related wearable items that represent animal superpowers using sketching, hands-on modelling, and making. This studio will end with a circus-ey zany final parade featuring the animal-inspired wearables!
