Andrew Birkel is an Experimental Physicist and engineer. He recieved a B.S. in Applied Physics with a concentration in Opto-electronics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). Andrew currently is a Technical Instructor at MIT in the Helna Junior Laboratory of Physics. Andrew has also worked on extensive personal projects that includes an Electric Scooter, Handheld 150mW 405nm Laser, and experimental research on the side. At NuVu, Andrew helped run the Science equipment class where the students design and build low-cost scientific equipment that will be used in the design laboratory at Kepler in Rwanda.
